What Causes Stomach Cramps Post Menopause?

I don t want to call my doctor because I feel silly. I am 62 and am past menopause. I recently started having mild cramps, like I was going to start my period. I have also had some brown watery discharge on my underpants. Is this anything to be concerned about?

Hi,
Looking at your history and symptoms, I would think of two things.
1. Inflammation - cervical infection
2. Cancer

In the elderly, with spotting post-menopause, cancer is the commonest one suspected. As it does not appear to be spotting, brown discharge might be infection.
I would advise you to get a Pap smear done at the earliest for confirmation and appropriate treatment.
Meet your doctor regarding this.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
