What Causes Stomach Contractions During Pregnancy?
Hi, I am 32 weeks pregnant with twin girls. I had mucus discharge a few days ago; it lasted for two days. The past two days I have felt like I have a cold. My stomach contracts every time I stand up and now my back is starting to contract with it. When I sit down it all stops but hurts to just sit or lay down. Am I going into early labor? Should I call my physician?
Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion as you have pain only during certain types of postures like standing it might be muscular pain only. But there is a complication of preterm labour in twins due to oversistended uterus. So i suggest yo to consult doctor and get an examination done to rule out any preterm pains.Take panadol for pain.Take rest.Avoid physical strain and intercourse.Take adequate fluids upto 3 litres to prevent dehydration and urinary infections as both of these also might cause preterm pains.Take rest. Best regards...dr.srilatha
