What Causes Stomach Ache While On Metformin?

I ve taken metformin for several years. At first nothing happened but for the last few months I ve began to get bad stomach pains.I take 2 metformin a day. 1000 mgs. I make sure that I am always eating something but nothing helps. I ve also been experiencing lower abdominal pains. My doctor says nothing about changing the prescription.

Hello dear. I understand your concerne. Stomach ache is very common sidde effect on metformine users. Try to lower the dose of it and keep a low carb diet. Or try to take a metformune tablet that is more friendly to stomach.Best refards.
