What Causes Stomach Ache And Blood In Stool?
I recently went to the ER because I had stomach pain that was really severe. They did a work up including a sonogram but it came up clean. They ve referred me to a GI doctor but I can t see them until June 9th. This has been going on for weeks now, almost constant pain in my stomach and I m either constipated or have diarrhea. Today there was a little blood in my stool and I have felt horrible all day. I m not sure if I should go back to the ER as I m not emergent and there s nothing they will really do it seems? But I can t keep feeling this sick.

What is your age? Are you taking Aspirin for prophylaxis? People with the risk of heart disease are put on Aspirin which can sometimes lead to such bleeding. Also your age matters. Do you have weight loss or loss of appetite? Blood in the stool and altered bowel habits need to be evaluated. Your specialist will decide the tests you need to go through.
