What Causes Stomach Ache After Removal Of Tonsils And Adenoids?

My 3 year old had her tonsils & adenoids removed 3 days ago. She today is choking & complaining of a belly ache, she is also screaming that her throat hurts. Is this normal or did the scab fall off early? I haven t noticed any bleeding but she won t let me look.

Hi.

Its not directly connected with tonsils. Seems the innocent child has got dreaded feeling. The attending doctor will handle the child with care.

Any other cause of stomachs she may be infection or cramps or pshycholgical feeling.

Please do not be afraid. It will set with time. Your love and care is important towards child at this moment. Try to distract the child from what happened to tonsils.

Hope this gives you insight into your apprehension.

May I be of more help please.
