What causes stiffness and severe pain in the groin?

One week ago I noticed stiff and nerve like pain in my groin and upper thigh. My leg goes out from under me and I cry out in pain. Went to the physio the other day and he did an hours work on my including tens and heat. The therapy was excruciating and I cried and nearly passed out with the pain twice. Have not been back. The last two days my feet and ankles are so still and sore and my right leg hard to lift. I feel like an old lady as I have never had trouble with my feet before. I am 62. With thanks Anne.

Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of pain and stiffness around your groin region radiating to your right foot and ankle with difficulty in lifting up I am suggesting you have developed a disease of the joint and muscle

The following disorders of the joint and muscles that are possible causes of your pain and stiffness are as follows
Osteoarthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis
Leukemia
Myositis
Tendonitis
Lumber spondylitis
Spondylolisthesis
Transverse myelitis

In view of this please do the following test
MRI of the spine
X-RAY of the pelvis
EMG
Complete blood count

Meanwhile see an orthopaedic specialist with the results for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription

However please take any of the following pending your appointment lyrica gabapentin cymbalta neurobion

I hope this helps Regards
