What Causes Stiffness And Inflammation In The Hands And Fingers?
My fingers on both hands are stiff, the middle two cannot be fully straightened. There is soreness at the base of the middle finger of the right hand which feels like inflammation. There have been occasions where my right hand has curled during sleep and had to be uncurled with help from the other hand. I was treated for trigger finger years ago while still working and attributed it to possible repetitive use of a computer mouse. My guess is some form of arthritis as I am nearing my 71st birthday.

The most possible issue is related to underlying poly arthritis involving joints of both hands and fingers. The additional add on factor is use of computer mouse.
