What Causes Stiffness Along With Muscle And Joint Pain Post Back Surgery?

I had 2 lower back surgeries and 1 neck fusion. It s been 7 months since the fusion and my body is stiff, muscles ache, and joint pain. Once I get up in the morning and stretch, I m good for a few hours then it kicks in. Doc said it was arthritis and put me on feldine or pyroxicam. It helped for awhile but now I am taking it every other day. It doesn t seem to be helping anymore. What type of arthritis does this sound like or is that what it is?

Hi there... yes it is arthritis... pyroxicam gives you the pain and inflammation relief. You should continue the morning exercises you have been advised since post back surgery you need to be moderately active. But you need to consult a rheumatologist, before anyone puts you on steroids to suppress inflammation.
