What Causes Stiff Neck After Doing Neck Exercises?

I have had a stiff neck (Right side) for at least 2 months now. It is noticeable when I do neck exercises (ear to R shoulder & some upward stretches) or when I am driving looking left for traffic before making a turn.
What can I do to loosen this muscle up?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The symptoms mentioned by you suggest muscle strain or stiffness in the muscles of the neck.
Rest, hot fomentation and muscle relaxants will help to relieve the pain.
However, it is important to know the cause of muscle related pain.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment and relevant investigations like MRI to know the cause of symptoms and thus treatment.

Thanks and take care
