What Causes Static Noise In Ears Of A Gymnast?

My daughter has been doing gymnastics for about 6 years, she is now 14, for the last few years she has been having trouble with skills that require her to go backwards. It changes from week to week. Yesterday she complained about a static noise and clicking in her ear. She really has not had a growth spurt or anything unusual.
