What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Head And Altered Taste?
I have had stabbing pain on the top of my head, right side, for two days. No over the counter meds touch it. The longest relief is 1/2 an hour or so. It s like someone jamming a screwdriver into the top of my head. Had a handful of nuts, and they tasted awful, so my taste is affected. I try to nap, but the pain wakes me up, as it did at intervals all night long. I felt nauseated a bit on Friday, but the stabbing began Saturday mid-morning. It s Sunday night, and there s no relief. I am female, 73 yrs old, pretty active.

I really appreciate your concern, most of the headaches are due to depression, anxiety, it is a kind of functional elements playing the role for this, still just to rule out the functional elements it is better to get done the CT brain and EEG, till then Tab Carbamazepine 200 mg once in day can be tried, hope this information helps.
