What Causes Stabbing, Electric Shock Like Pain In Legs And Inner Thighs?

Thank you. I have a stabbing pain in my legs. Sometimes inner thigh, sometimes the front of the same leg. Sharp and so painful it wakes me at night - but continues all day. It just started about a week ago and only in my left leg. There is no twitching on the surface of my leg but it feels like an electric shock internally

As per your complain the symptoms of stabbing electric shock like pain in the leg and inner thigh can be due most commonly related to nerve induced conditions and can be neuropathic pain..
It can be due to conditions like Arachnoiditis, pinched nerve, traumatic injury to the legs causing nerve damage etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and also advise investigations like MRI, CT SCAN, Electromyogram [EMG] to rule out the exact cause of the problem by checking the nerves , their activity and conduction to rule out the exact cause of pain and treatment can be based on confirmatory diagnosis..
As of now you can take painkillers like Tramadol or Ibuprofen to relieve pain..
