What Causes Spreading Itchy Rash On Arm?
My friend has a spreading rash, itchy, started on her thing, now on her arm. Last week she went to her ER; she was given an antifungal medication. She has a cat who has hind claws; could her cat be giving her this rash? The ER didn t initially think so (she has only had one ER visit).

Your friend concern may be tinea infection. It's a fungal infection which slowly spread if not treated properly. It's a contagious infection. Ask her to start terbinafine cream twice daily on affected areas until she consults a dermatologist for physical examination. It is curable.
