What Causes Spotting And Dark Vaginal Discharge Post Miscarriage?
At the end of November, I had an early miscarriage at just 4 weeks. Spotted for a few days and had 3 days of bleeding. 5 weeks later I had a some what normal period. Lasted 4 days. Since then I have spotted on and off, brown discharge with lots of cramping. It s been 11-12 weeks since the miscarriage.
Hello, Welcome to HCM. Spotting brown discharge with cramps post miscarriage may suggest some retained products. You have not mentioned what treatment you have taken after miscarriage. Many a times, abortion is not complete and dilatation & curattage is needed after miscarriage. Retained products may lead to infection and other complications including infertility later on. You should undergo ultrasound examination of uterus and curattage if needed. Please consult your gynecologist for the same. I hope this will be helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions. Take care.
