What Causes Spotting After Taking Primolut N?

Hi,I am 35 years old and weigh 59 kgs, 5 1 tall. I have two kids - normal delivery and had tubal ligation after having my second kid, 5 1/2 years ago. I had my last period staring from Sep 13th. It was for 6 days and spotted a little on 10th day. I had sex previously that day. This type of spotting had never happened to me. I always have 28 day cycle. I had recently shifted to another country half way around the globe during the end of August and travelled for nearly 36 hrs. There is no real big stress in my life. My periods is late. It s been 36 days and still no sign of it. It took pregnancy test on 33rd and 35th day but negative. What could be the reason for delay please help. Also I took a least 3 tablets of Primolut N during June and 3 in July to postpone my period.

Firstly, the spotting observed on the 10th day of the cycle could be due to trauma; provided you have regular checkup and any infection, erosion, polyps etc., are excluded, this should be considered as a chance happening. Also, when you use hormones to manage the menstrual cycles, these types of spotting occur. Secondly, the delay in this menstrual cycle can be attributed to the change of location, climate and possible lifestyle ad the unknown stress associated with it. If you are still doubtful after two negative pregnancy tests, please see a specialist for further management. Take care.
