What Causes Spleen, Liver Enlargement ,fever,rash On Face?

my grandson is almost a year old. He was running a fever for last few days. He had a little liquid in his ear yesterday. His mother took him to the doctor today. She said his spleen and liver are inlarged and he had a rash on his face. They did blood work which will take two days for results. What could it be?

Hello viral or bacterial infection could Bethe cause of the liver and spleen enlargement. If there is no fever I would suggest you wait for the labs results to before deciding in a further course of action.
