Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm fine when I wake up, then when I start eating around noon or 1:00 I get a sour milk taste in mouth back of tongue area? Doesn't matter what I eat. And it last all night long till I go to bed, then in morning it is gone again? Have not changed any meds . And this has been going on a few weeks now. Really getting old! What do you think? Dan
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain sore taste in mouth can be due to causes like Acid reflux, post nasal drip side effects of any Medication if you are taking any, Oral infections due to pus discharge etc.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations as per suspected cause can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. As of now you can do warm saline gargles, take Omeprazole or Rabeprazole if you have heartburn along with sore taste.. Clean your tongue using a tongue cleaner.. Gargle with antiseptic mouthwash.. Chew sugar free chewing gum..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
