What Causes Soreness In Vagina After The Intercourse?

I had protected sex last thursday night. Friday i had swelling and when i wiped on my right side of my vagina it was tender. I dont itch but its red. I have looked and dont see anything. I have been using destin and it helps..but the only time i feel any tenderness and sore is when i wipe with a baby wipe..no pain just walking around. Just wondering if its irritation from friction? or what could be wrong?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Vaginal pain after intercourse can be due to insufficient moisture inside vagina or infection or muscle spasm during intercourse or forceful intercourse etc.
Use of lubricants before sex, proper arousal or long forplay will avoid this kind of problem in future.
You can have analgesic and antihistamines on as and when required basis and complete bed rest for couple of days will cure the problem.
Consult your sexologist if you face same problem repeatedly.
