Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a crusty sore on the inside of my right nostril and after trying to treat it with peroxide and Neosporin it doesn t seem to be responding. The outside of my nose is getting a bit red and tender. What should I do? I had a cold about a month ago and still have a dry cough as a result of that cold. Are they connected?
Hello. Yes they both are connected. I think you have been allergic so far.
Instead of peroxide and Neosporin I would suggest you to use saline nasal spray. Its indeed safe and will also help in healing.
Keep yourself hydrated. Do breathing exercises. This will help.
If possible try to put one one drop of fresh onion juice in both the nostrils. It will help all the allergic reactions to keep them at bay. It will increase the strength of the mucous membrane of both the nostrils.
Wish you a speedy recovery. I hope this helps you
Thanks Dr. Tripat Mehta
