What Causes Soreness In The Ribs And Fever During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 39+1 weeks pregnant and cannot get out my bed, my temperature has been shooting up and down for 2 days now between 38.0 and 39.5 but I am so cold I am shaking uncontrollably. My ribs are that sore that I find it hard to breathe without getting shooting pains and the middle and lower part of my back are also sore. No contractions atall in my front not even a twitch that I can feel anyway. Should I be phoning my midwife or are these all normal symptoms?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
You are nearing your term-with possibility of labor any time.Fever with shivering , soreness of chest & painful breathing - has to be tackled immediately.It suggests respiratory infection-It should be investigated, diagnosed & treatment started soon.
These are not normal symptoms, Please visit ER and start with management . this is essential to be symptom free at the time of delivery.
