What Causes Soreness In The Breasts And Elevated Estrogen Levels?

i am a 54 year old woman that stopped having periods 2 years ago. i now have elevated estrogen level which coincides wth a thickening endometrium and slightly larger fibroids. breast soreness also. what could be the cause? what can i do to see why this is happening?

Hi, I think you should get a mammography done for your breasts to rule out any breast carcinoma. Get a ultrasound done to see the ovarian status. There can be some ovarian tumour which can secrete estrogen. Also get a CT scan of abdomen to rule our any adrenocortical tumour. It is not normal to have high estrogen level in postmenopausal women.
