What causes soreness in tailbone & legs?

36 year-old male. I was diagnosed with a UTI yesterday and began antibiotics. The burning at urination has improved significantly, but I m now getting a soreness (not pain) in my tailbone and upper-back legs. I ve also had some flu-like symptoms over the past 20 hours. Is it safe to assume that the antibiotic is working because the burning is nearly gone? Or should I be concerned about the soreness popping up now?

Hello,

Soreness is likely because of inflammatory response of body due to infection, as burning has improved it means antibiotic is working and infection is in settling phase. Take plenty of fluids and paracetamol tablet for a couple of days, soreness will settle.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
