What Causes Soreness And Swelling In Ears?

I have been having this problem with my ears for over a month. They are very sore, they seem to swell every now and then, they have a watery discharge and they had a bad smell until I used some peroxide. Right now they are sore to the touch and they have a weird heaviness feeling to them, and watery fluid is coming out. What can I do at home to cure it and what is it?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have soreness and swelling in ears along with watery discharge.
As with the symptoms the most probable cause seems to be ear infection..
It can be confirmed with a clinical evaluation and investigations like culture of the fluid draining through the ears.
In case if infection is confirmed as the cause, a course of antibiotics for atleast 15 days..
Antibiotic ear drops and analgesic ear drops can also be advised..
Along with it avoiding excessive water exposure like swimming and exposure to loud sounds can be advised..

Other possible causes can be excess ear wax accumulation, foreign body impaction in the ear, fungal infection etc..
Therefore you should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can be done along with investigations as advised and treatment of the underlying cause will definitely help in resolution of symptoms..
