What Causes Soreness And Itchiness On The Vaginal Opening?
Hi, I noticed a sore bump at the opening of my vagina after intercourse with my partner. Its happened before. However, this bump is seeming to get worse. My vaginal lips are itching and it doesnt hurt to pee from my actual pee hole but of course when urine hits the bump it hurts. Ive been trying to keep it clean but it hurts with underwear and pants on. Could it be an Std?

I read you query , i can understand your concern.sore bump at the opening of vagina can be due to infection of a gland called Bartholin gland,these are 2 glands located on either side of vaginal opening,due to some infection which can block one of these glands,and secretion is collected inside it, because it is blocked ,So it causes
pain /swelling near vagina,pee hole,Treatment options are 2 as follow;
1. if bump is small try Sitz bath at home=Sitting in Tub with 3 inches of warm water for 15 minutes every 06 hourly i.e 4 times a day , daily for 5-7 days then apply castor oil over bump 4 times,
You can take oral anibiotic like ciprofloxacin 500 mg x2 time for 5days
but make sure u do not have allergy to this medicine.
And for pain any pain Killer Panadol 2 tab,after food x4 times if no pregnancy
if no improvement then consult Gynecologist( surgeon)
2.if Very big bump not improving in 7-10 days then surgeon can be consulted to drain it by giving incision ,
