What Causes Soreness Along With Dead Skin On The Ball Of Foot?

Hello, I have soreness in the ball of my foot. Upon inspection, there is some dead skin and what looked like something imbedded in the skin. I tried to remove (like a sliver) what I thought was imbedded, but did not find anything. The soreness when I walk has been reduced, but I am not sure I cured the main problem - I just removed a bump of dead skin. Can you tell me what this is? Thanks, Doug

HI
Well come to HCM
This could be deposition of over grow tissue and such structure taking place due to continues pressure over one point only, although exact diagnosis could only be possible on clinical examination, if this is not hurting and cause no pain then this is nothing to worry, just watch it for any changes, hope this information helps, take care.
