What Causes Sore Throat?
My son has been having a sore throat and hard to swallow problems for 4months. He has been on several anitobiotics and allergy medicines. None of these seem to relieve. He has had a barium swallow test that came back fine. We are scheduled to see a Pediatric Gastro dr. Any suggestions??

he will be having GERD ( gastroesophageal reflux disease )
antibiotics are not needed at this stage
he needs Proton pump inhibitors ( pantoprazole or esmoprazole ) daily once before mng food for a period of 4 weeks
he also need salt water gargling twice daily for 5 days
