What Causes Sore Throat?

i have what i think is a sore throat from sunday. iv gaggle with tcp and salt water. but nothing is working.seem to be getting worse. am have problem, when yawning and swallowing.What do you think is happening to my throat? Am getting a little concern.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Soreness in the throat indicates infection in the throat mucosa.
Gargling with saline water (luke warm water) will be helpful in providing symptomatic relief to throat mucosa.
In addition, an antibiotic course is also required to control the infection since the soreness occurs due to infection.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and prescription of antibiotic.
