My husband has been sick with a very painful sore throat since 6/6. We thought it was strep but he had two test done and both came back negative. He has been getting worse. He has white spots in the back of his throat and has a white layer on his tongue. He is hungry but it s hard for him to eat because his throat hurts so bad. He feels as if his lymph nodes around his neck are swollen. He has not been to work for a week and feels weak/tired. One of the Urgent care doctors saw some little red circular sores and some looked whitish. She thought it might be herpes and gave him some Valtrex. We just want to know what s wrong so he can get better. He has had 2 brain tumors in the past but no seizures. Please advise...
