I became ill after contact with another person. Sore throat, pressure/pain behind eyes, behind forehead and in ears. Cough producing green sputum. This is the sixth day of symtoms. I have been drinking very hot tea and hot water. I have been eating mostly commercial chicken noodle soup. The congestion is breaking up but still green in color. I have a combivent respimat inhaler, would this be of help? I have been self treating because I dont want to use antibiotics if not absolutely necessary. I am a type 2 diabetic under control with meds po. Do you feel I need to see my M.D. or am I on the right path? Thank you, Mary - 67 years old
