What Causes Sore Throat, Fever And Cough?

I had a sore throat that started May 9th with slight fever, and did not see the doctor until 5 days later and gave me Azitromycin for 5 days (2 beginning dosage) and once a day after. My sore throat came with cough. Then the sore throat went away after a two weeks, but the cough lingered. After a couple of weeks, I wnet back to the doctor becuase the cough won t go away, and the Dr gave me Amoxicillin 4,000mg a day for 7 days and I was fine. Acute bronchitis is the diagnosis. Today 6/16 I feel sore throat again, hard to swallow and pain radiating to my right ear. What could this be?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, most of the time such throat symptoms could be due to allergic condition and this may not be infection and giving antibiotic may not be helpful instead this can be well treated with antihistamine and best would be " Tab Levocetirizine 10 mg three times in day and continue the saline water gargling, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day
I find this answer helpful
