General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You are having acute pharyngitis presentation or it can be upper respiratory tract infection It could be viral or bacterial You should consult doctor for work up as follow.

- Auscultation
- Posterior pharynx examination
- CBC
- ASO titre or throat swab

You can take vitamin C lozenges and decongestant like Phenylephrine for symptomatic improvement. Salt water gargle should be done three times a day and steam inhalation done two times a day. Daily take one tsp turmeric powder with milk. If after examination and Auscultation, there is need for x-ray then further investigation can be done with x ray. Avoid spicy foods. Consult pulmonologoist or physician for examination with keeping all this in mind.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
