What Causes Sore Throat And Dry Cough?

Hey. I have a sore throat and a dry cough, and I have to spit up lots of phlegm every so often, and also runny nose. And I woke up one morning to find I couldn t talk. Currently...I sound like an old lady with a smoking problem. =___=;; It s been a week since I got sick, what can I do? What kind of illness do I have, and should I visit a drop in clinic?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

You may be suffering from viral rhinitis with pharyngitis. Along with that lower respiratory tract infection also. Use steam inhalation thrice a day for five days. Use tablet levocetirizine twice a day for five days. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If there is no improvement, please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
