General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Sore throat and cold following which there is development of sinusitis are caused generally due to viral infection, which might be followed by secondary bacterial infection. This would cause excess mucosal secretion and stagnation, causing such symptoms.
Symptoms what are describing are associated symptoms of sinusitis.
Kindly take the medications what has been prescribed.
Along with it, you need to do the following:
1. Salt water gargling with warm water.
2. Steam inhalation.
3. Consume medicated lozenges when necessary.
Gradually, you should be able to overcome the symptoms and be back to normal.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.,
