What Causes Sore Throat After Taking Steroid For Upper Respiratory Infection?
I went to a ENT to have wax removed from both ears. When I went in I was sick with a upper respiratory infection so he gave me an antibiotic and a steroid and removed the wax. I felt better within a couple of days but developed a sore throat after the medication was finished. It comes and goes
- For now do warm saline gargles.You should take steam twice a day and apply warm dry compresses.
-Avoid intake of cold beverages and outside food.
- Take diet rich in fruits and have soft and bland food.
- You should take steam and blow cheeks with nose closed.
I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist/ pulmonologist once for proper diagnosis Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like Amoxiclav at least for 10 days along with decongestant and anti inflammatory.
