What Causes Sore Lump On The Gum Oozing Pus?

hi, I have a lump on my gum between my front tooth and the one next to it. I've had this tooth and both my front teeth crowned nearly 2 years ago as I had an accident when I was a child and my 2 front teeth are dead. The lump when pressed has pus that comes out the side of my tooth, it's not painful just sore.

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

Sore lump on gum just above the teeth which are dead( Root canal treated) after 2 years of treatment is an abnormal finding. as the lump is draining some pus, Most commonly it should be as result of recurrent infection of the Root can treated (Dead) teeth.
Normally such infection is not common. It could arise due to some defect in previous treatment or infection of some new tooth which might have been injured from the trauma you had 2 years earlier. It could also be due to infection in gum only known as periodontal abscess.
I would suggest you to consult a dental surgeon for this. A xray would be required to check the source of such infection. In meanwhile you could take antibiotic like amoxicillin 500 mg 3 times a day for it.

Refer to a dentist
