What Causes Sore In The Lower Back And Pain In The Lower Abdomen?
My lower back is very sore, and I haven't been pooping right for two weeks now. When I cough or laugh, or even walk there is a sharp pain in my lower abdomen, mostly on the left. It feels a little better if i curl into a ball. I am also bloated. What could this be?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Bloating with severe pain in left lower abdomen and not having a proper stool for 2 weeks can be due to the following reasons: Colitis. Volvulus of the sigmoid colon. Diverticulitis. This can be diagnosed by the following way: Clinical examination by a General Surgeon. X-ray of the abdomen in standing position. Ultrasonography and CT scan if the above are not conclusive or raise a doubt about diverticulitis. Tests of blood, stool and urine. All these things will help to get a very proper diagnosis which is very important for a specific targeted treatment.
