What Causes Sore Back And Neck After An Insect Bite?

I m concerned I ve been bitten by a tic. I have a spot with red colouring around it. I popped it thinking it was a pimple and only blood and a little clear puss came out. I have some soreness in my back, neck, knees, and joints. The one side of my jaw has also been giving me trouble. I ve just come off having a cold so I don t know if the symptoms are related to this or the cold still. Should I be concerned?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

The red spot that released pus and blood is due to the bite and will get healed gradually but to reduce the risk of infection you can clean it with betadine solution and apply Antiseptic ointment over it..
Avoid scratching it as it can cause spread of infection..
Keep it clean and dry..
As far as soreness of the back, neck , knee and joints is concerned it can be probably due to viral infection and will get resolved gradually and you can take Ibuprofen for relief..
If the symptoms continue to worsen consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
