What Causes Soft White Growth On Gums?
My toddler of 15 months has things growing in his gum. First there was on his bottom gum to the right. It was the same colour as his gum. The next day it became white. It looked like a thin tooth but soft. Then I found another one the other side. I need to know if I should do something about it.

As per your query your toddler has white soft tissue growth on gums which looks like tooth is known as natal teeth or bohn's nodules. These are type of gingival cysts which look like teeth and these arise because of remnants of the dental lamina or from heterotrophic salivary glands. When natal teeth occur, they erupt from the alveolar ridge, and typically occur in the mandibular gum area. These are benign and need no treatment as they will resolve with time. Maintain toddler's oral hygiene by gently rubbing a wet cloth on gums as it will prevent bacterial accumulation and proliferation.
Consult your pediatrician if the growths impede feeding or seem to cause pain in your child.
