What Causes Soft Lump Under The Lip?

I can feel a soft but firm lump when I put my tung under my top lip. It is under my nose. I do wear upper dentures and use fixadent adhesive every day.I am 55 years old. I just felt it last week.When I take my dentures out it sometimes moves down my lip.

Hello, Thank you for consulting with HCM.
This firm lump can be because of chronic irritation from denture, as it can cause a fibroma. You should visit your dentist and get the lump examined, as if it is a fibroma, then it will grow in size and can create problem in future. even get a x-ray done of that area.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The soft lump could be because of the irritation by the denture borders resulting in a growth(epulis fissuratum) or irritational fibroma. Consult a oral physician and get it ruled out. if it is a growth, then it can be surgically removed and the rough denture borders can rounded off.
