What Causes Snow Vision?
Hi I am a 50 year old Type 1 diabetic. I have recently started experiencing an inability to withstand glare or bright sunlight. I get "snow vision" especially from large areas of white. Could this be related to my diabetes - I have been a fairly well controlled diabetic for 17 years. Thanks - Jacqui

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having glare and not able to see bright light. The common causes for glare are opacities in the eye like corneal opacity or most commonly lens opacity called as cataract. Cataract can be caused by diabetes or because of ageing and requires evaluation.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
