What Causes Small Red Bumps On Vagina?

I have been heckled recently in the past and came back negative for everything. A few weeks ago my doctor put me on prednisone for the hives I recently got from switching laundry detergents. While on the steroids I bled almost daily especially after having intercourse with my boyfriend. Towards then end of my 12 days steroid routine I developed a yeast infection and now am back on my period. Today I noticed 2 red bug bite looking bumps on the outside of my vagina. Are they one of the symptoms of the yeast infection or could I have caught something from my boyfriend?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Yeast infection needs to be managed by first getting culture of vaginal discharge. The culture will determine the infectious agent causing infection and drug effective against the causative agent. In the meanwhile, I suggest you to avoid unsafe intercourse.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
