What Causes Small Purple Bruises On The Back Of A Child?

My son has like 6 mosquito bites that are pretty big on his back and they have a purple bruising to them should I be concerned about this. He also had a low grade fever earlier today do you think that has something to do with the mosquito bites as well?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
It may not have something to do with mosquito bites.
Possible causes of such rashes on the body include skin infection of bacterial, viral or fungi origins. An allergy or local irritation may present in a similar manner.I will suggest you give the child an antipyretic/antiinflammatory syrup like Ibumol, bath the child with anti-septic solution like cyteal and observe. If the lesions persist, you take the child to the Doctor to investigate for possible bacterial/fungi skin infection.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
