What Causes Small Bumps On My Crotch, Scrotum And Penis?
Hello. I have small bumps on my crotch, scrotum and penis. They don't hurt, nor sensitive to touch. Mostly itchy infrequently, but very "swampy". I know we sweat there, but this seems unusual. I don't wear tight fitting underwear. I saw doctor once and he said there is an odor. He wanted to do a biopsy. I didn't. Too embarrassed. But I feel its time to resolve it. I think its a parasite of some kind. Any thoughts?
Hello, Sir Welcome to healthcaremagic. I can certainly understand your concern. I have worked through your query in detail. As per your symptoms, the possibility of an mixed allergic and infection related rash is present on the scrotum. Excessive sweating and improper hygiene of the undergarments can lead these skin disturbances in the genital area. It's advisable to wear washed inner wear on a daily basis, preferably cotton fabric well fitting one. A short course of oral antihistamine medications like Levocetrizine and antifungal dusting powder like Clotrimazole will help to improve your symptoms. Avoid moisture retaining within the external clefts and crevices of the genitalia. A consultation with a venerologist will be extremely helpful. Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to you. Post your further queries if any. Thank you
