Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Since January (after a lot of stress) I have had slurred speech and muscle twitching. MRI was clear, so no stroke or tumors. I had swallowing issues in the beginning, but that is much better now. My speech gets much better if I chew gum as I have perceived dry mouth floor. Lips tingle. EMG was fine. Seeing neurologist now but he has no diagnosis. Any ideas what is wrong.
Since MRI and EMG all normal, need not worry about stroke. Your BP or DM/Lipid profile/Thyroid function test is normal? Some time Vertibro bacillar insufficiency may cause these problems. Better take minimum dose Aspirin and review.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
