What Causes Slurred Speech And Muscle Twitching?

Since January (after a lot of stress) I have had slurred speech and muscle twitching. MRI was clear, so no stroke or tumors. I had swallowing issues in the beginning, but that is much better now. My speech gets much better if I chew gum as I have perceived dry mouth floor. Lips tingle. EMG was fine. Seeing neurologist now but he has no diagnosis. Any ideas what is wrong.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since MRI and EMG all normal, need not worry about stroke.
Your BP or DM/Lipid profile/Thyroid function test is normal?
Some time Vertibro bacillar insufficiency may cause these problems.
Better take minimum dose Aspirin and review.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
