What Causes Slight Neck Tenderness Post Physiotherapy While Having Herniated Discs?

Hi. I m a 49 year old male. I injured my neck and was diagnosed with herniated discs C3 through 7, two years ago. I had multiple symptoms, numbness & weakness in the right arm, hand and shoulder, etc. I went through PT and completed the program and felt better & began a weight lifting program. About 3 months ago, I put some strain on my neck again and went through the same weakness and completed PT again a week ago. During the most recent PT, about 30 days ago or so, I began noticing slight tenderness on the right side of my neck, next to my adam s apple. Examinations by my PCP and the PT specialists indicate that it s muscle strain, possibly associated with the herniations. The discomfort comes and goes, depending on my physical activity. I also notice a slight change in my ability to sing. Is there anything I should be doing, or not doing, to alleviate this? Thank you.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the disk degenerative disease then it may not cause any muscular weakness or vocal cord even other symptoms may not be due to this but it more seems to be due to muscular spams due to some other reason but not the cervical disk, you can try cervical collar hope this information
