What Causes Skipped Heartbeats?
Hi Im Denise Im 54 and am on quite a few meds for chronic back and leg pain. I have been on these for the past 5 years. Just recently it seems that I feel like my heart beats faster and then I will feel like it just stops and skips a beat. It does this continuously, all the time. My father had congestive heart failure and died a year later from a massive stroke. I am over weight and not real active. I do waitress for our local steakhouse and take care of our 2 grandchildren. 4 and 2. I take Hydrocodone-325, methocarbomol, topomax and phentermine for weight loss, hydrochlorothiazide, lyrica, stool softners and ibuprofen. Any suggestions what you think might be going on with why my heart feels that way. Not short of breath or dizzy. pulse is around 72.

If you feel that the heart beat and pulse of yours is not normal so this is the feeling mostly happens due to stress even the old medical history of your father has nothing to do anything with this, heart beat and pulse is abnormal does not have any obvious symptoms and it can only be known with the help of EKG and ECHO without this it can not be known, still if you want to clear the doubt then you have to get done the ECG and ECHO, try to come out of the stress, and anxiety then you wont feel it again the abnormal heart beat and pulse rate.
