What Causes Skinny Limbs And Swelling Behind The Eyes?

We have a 20 month old grandchild whose head seems unusually heavy when we pick him up. The child was slow to walk (18 months) and lower limbs are "skinny", often has difficulty keeping eyes open--seems to be swelling around or behind eyes...what might cause this kind of symptom and what can we do to help?

Pediatrician 's  Response
You should urgently take him to his paediatrician. He may be having some internal brain or other tissue-related problems. This is because he has a large/heavy head, some physical delay of milestones and has difficulty in keeping his eyes open.

A fluid collection inside the brain, known as hydrocephalus, may cause irreversible damage if not treated urgently.
