What Causes Skin Tan?

Hi there, my face is getting darker. My friends and family members keep asking me if I am OK. I live in the UK and there is no sun. I think it is due to physical problem that I am not aware of it yet. Are there any symptoms which might cause going darker. By the way it is only my face not by body.

Hi. Skin tanning results from prolonged sun exposure and its kind of protective as tanning ( increased melanin) protects against the harmful effects of sun. If you want to reduce it, use a good quality sunscreen daily, at least 2-3 times a day. Also, use a kojic acid or glycolic acid 6% based cream at night. This should help.
