Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain the large pearly papules on the back of the tongue are enlarged circumvallate papilla which contains
taste buds..
Due to
fungal infection there is infection and inflammation in the papilla leading to their enlargement..
The skin tag kind of thing at the side of the Tonge can also be enlarged papilla due to fungal infection..
As you would be taking treatment of yeast infection like nystatin mouth wash and oral
fluconazole or itraconzole and increased intake of probiotics like yoghurt and garlic in diet as the yeast infection will clear off the enlarged papilla will also regress in size..
What you can do as for now is to do warm saline gargles and maintain a good
oral hygiene..
You can drink plenty if cold water to prevent
dry mouth and such on ice pops for reducing inflammation of the papilla and help in regress in size..
Hope your query is solved..
