What Causes Skin Sensitivity And Water Blisters On Face?
I am a 59 year old female. I have always had sensitive skin, especially on my face. I have been prone to adult acne, but have recently been fighting what I first thought were small pimples, but they now appear to be watery blisters. I have had this around the left corner of my mouth for 2 or 3 weeks. It has not spread, nor will it heal. Any ideas?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain the presence of watery blisters on the corner of mouth that have not spread and are present since two three weeks seems to be Herpes virus infection causing Cold Sores and does not appear like Acne.. The common presentation of herpetic blisters is in the form of clusters of fluid filled blisters..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can do a culture of the watery fluid as well as advise you tests like antigen-antibody reaction, Polymerase chain reaction to confirm the diagnosis.. In case if Herpes is ruled out as diagnosis antiviral medication like Oral application of Acyclovir and topical application of Valacyclovir (Valtrex) has to be done for resolution..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
